The gaming commission was instituted by the Act of 07 May 1999. This body is responsible for :
· giving advise to the government and parliament
· making decisions in respect of the licenses granted to casinos (license A), gaming arcades (license B), drinking establishments (license C), the personnel working in casinos and gaming arcades (license D), the suppliers and repairers of games of chance (license E)
· controlling the games of chance
· controlling the holders of licenses and can inflict penalties on them
· ensuring the protection of players and betters.
